Raniganj (South) Block, West Bengal
The Raniganj (South) block covers an area of 210 square kilometer. The wells drilled in the contracted area are connected through an internal MDPE pipeline network that goes into the gas gathering station of GEECL. From there, the gas is fed into the dedicated external steel pipeline network of GEECL.

Mannargudi Block, Tamil Nadu
The Mannargudi CBM block was received by GEECL in the year 2010 in CBM IV round conducted by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).

- Permeability – High
- External pipeline infrastructure – already in place
- Wells to be drilled in the future – 50 core wells and 30 pilot production wells
- Presently under government arbitration
